Olga Novikova is a Researcher of the Programme of Russian Studies of the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid. She published three books on history of Russian nationalism and Russian political thought and many articles in Spanish, Russian and French professional journals. The Academia de Yuste (Spain) awarded Olga Novikova the Gorbachev scholarship in 2004. Olga Novikova took part in the Seminar “De Roma a la Terza Roma” organized by several Italian universities and the Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation (2005); participated in several conferences on comparative and social history held by the Maison des Sciences de l’homme of Paris and the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation (2004 and 2006). Her recent works are devoted to the politics of memory and the development of democratic values in Russia (2005-2007), the study of Russian reactions to the European Union enlargement (2004-2005) and the Ukrainian political crisis (2005). Her research interests include relations between Russia and the European Union, political thought of contemporary Russia, politics of memory and foreign policy in Soviet and post-Soviet space, Soviet vision of the Spanish civil war. |
